CONTEXT

Gregg Irby Gallery, founded by Gregg, is a premier destination for contemporary fine art, offering curated collections of original paintings and works on paper from both established and emerging artists. Gregg sought a website redesign to enhance the user experience, making it seamless for visitors to explore and purchase from the gallery’s extensive roster of artists.

Client Goals & Design Logic

A user-friendly site that simplifies the art buying experience and streamlines internal workflows.

The primary goal was to create a frictionless experience for users, enabling them to easily browse through the gallery’s impressive artist roster and purchase artworks with ease. We emphasized a streamlined overview of artists and their bodies of work, ensuring a smooth transition from exploration to purchase. A custom menu was developed to facilitate shopping by painting sizes, learning about the gallery’s services, and exploring more about the company, its pop-up events, and press features. In addition to the redesign, we migrated the site from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1, restructured the internal organization of artists and products, and ensured that over a thousand products were migrated and SEO-optimized.

OUTCOME

The result is a user-friendly, visually engaging website that reflects the gallery’s high standards while simplifying the user experience. The new site structure and optimized product migration make it easier for the Gregg Irby Gallery team to manage their inventory and for visitors to explore and purchase artworks.
